Verónica Achá Álvarez is a Civil Engineer in Computing with a Master’s in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. She holds diplomas in data protection, big data, and IT management. Currently, she serves as Head of the Social Information Division at the Ministry of Social Development and Family in Chile, where she leads a multidisciplinary team that manages the ministry's technology, oversees large social databases, and coordinates digital transformation and interoperability projects. Throughout her career, she has worked on the evaluation of technological projects, the implementation of data governance models, and consulting for both the public and private sectors, both in Chile and internationally. Additionally, she has taught at various institutions.
